We have had too many embarrassing ethical and moral issues with a few of our legislators recently.   Val Peterson is a man of integrity and will never embarrass his constituents by his behavior.  Politicians who can spout the party line are a dime a dozen.  I want a representative who is a person of strong character and integrity.  That's Val, and that's why I'm voting for him.

As I have gotten to know Val over the past few months, I am grateful have a candidate who will put us first, not his own agenda. He will not tell you what you want to hear and never follow through. He will research issues and he will answer honestly. He loves Orem and Utah. He puts the constitution and the law first and foremost. He loves his family and will hold to those family values in laws that are presented. We need Val to represent us in District 59! He is Honest. He has Integrity. He wants what is best for us.

Val Peterson and Mike Thompson are each uniquely qualified and capable - they're both good men. I can only vote for one good man though to represent me, my family, and my neighbors in our district. Val Peterson's record as an Army National Guard soldier and officer is important, illustrating to me his commitment to the protection of our nation … His work in higher education to successfully reduce cost without impeding growth helps me understand his stance on fiscal policy and the need for large organizations (like state and national government) to live by the principles of budgetary prudence, debt reduction, and transparency in spending… For level-headed thinking and decision-making and for his "boots on the ground" approach to problem solving and principle-driven leadership, I've decided to support Val's candidacy and evidence it with my vote. Among good candidates, I believe Val Peterson is the best choice.

Two of the main reasons I support Val Peterson is that he is a consensus builder and treats people with respect. I have seen the lack of "civility" in some politicians. I believe a campaign should be focused on the important issues of our day and not in petty "personal" issues.

Val is honest and ethical.  He approaches each challenge with a common sense approach.  This is the kind of leader we need.

As citizens of Utah we are facing many challenges. To resolve the challenges we face we need strong, experienced leaders representing us in the legislature. Val Peterson is a proven leader and problem solver. He will do what is necessary to help us through these times and lead us into a better, stronger future. We need fresh ideas and new perspectives in our legislature. Val is the person to do it, and that is why I support him as my choice for representative.

Val Peterson is the candidate who represents our beliefs and values.  We know he will be an effective legislator in the Utah House of Representatives.  We wholeheartedly endorse him.

I served in The Utah National Guard under Val Peterson's command at both the company level and the Battalion level. I have experienced his leadership first hand and wouldn't hesitate to serve under his command again. I am very impressed with Val's ability to lead people and get things done even in difficult circumstances. I was pleased to hear that Val has chosen to run for office in District 59 and use his leadership ability to get things done in the legislature. I fully support Val's campaign for Representative in the State Legislature.
